Thanks for your comments. I wanted to give you a quick update about the Round 1 prizes. The amount you will receive will be unique based on a number of factors (if you are a company or individual, country-based tax laws, etc.).
I have also been alerted that all prize money for Round 1 will be paid within November. We’re very sorry for those that are still waiting and the Samsung team is working to get prizes out to everyone just as quickly as they can.

It is double taxation pure and simple. Disappointing? That's one word for it, although I can think of many others.
