Five Weeks in Certification

Our Challenge entry, Wearable Widgets, is a Linked app consisting of one master (on the phone) and two followers (on the watch). One of the follower apps passed certification three days ago. The master app finally passed this morning - quite a surprise, really - so at least we now have SOMETHING to enter in Round 2.

The other follower app has been stuck in certification since September 7, a full FIVE WEEKS. Since September 27, it has had a status of "Device test delayed". Given it's now the middle of the night in South Korea, there is now essentially zero chance that it will pass before the 5PM EDT deadline.

This is a major piece of our app's functionality which will now be missing from our entry, due solely to the incompetence of the Samsung certification team. Of course, it's also functionality that is featured in our video.

Just how early were we meant to have submitted our app to meet the certification deadline?!? The official schedule states, "It takes approximately one week to pass certification, however the time taken for certification may vary among apps, so please consider this timeframe when submitting to Samsung GALAXY Apps."

The certification process has made a mockery of this challenge for us, and likely for others as well. Can the Challenge organizers do anything at this late stage?
