That's Weird

It is really frustrating that we get judge in this Challenge on Something we cannot control. We do our best effort and the app do not get to the competition for a weird certification process.

- I have submit my app for certification 10 days before the challenge submission closing time. My app get certified in less then a week. WOW. However, It was available in the market with good number of downloads before the submission closing date which expose the app and idea to competition during the challenge. To protect my chance in the challenge, I decided to suspend the app - no any change -until September 29 as I always do in others app stores which normally takes a couple of hours to be activated around the world in a normal app store.

To switch back app from Suspended to For Sale in Samsung Seller store it takes the application to the certification process again !!! I set message to Seller customer support I get: "... please wait patiently for the results. Thank you for your support and understanding. "

I have sacrificed 10 days of the development opportunity in the Challenge to ensure that the app get certified in time and it did. But now I am in square one !!!

- My previous experience in round one that my main app didn't make it due the certification weird process. I hope that will not be repeated with my second app in Round Two.

You must be new to SamsungApps.

Actually it is my first time to use Suspend in SamsungApps store. I manage apps in six others apps stores. I find it weird that in SamsungApps Store, they go through the process of certification again for an app they already certify and didn't change!!! It is resources consuming and seller frustration as we cannot define a fix Go-To-Market date for the app. We do this in all other stores in a couple of hours window.

Usually, changes that does not involve adding a new binary or selecting new devices are processed within 24 hours - ie. changing description, youtube url etc.
I have no experience with suspending apps, so not sure here.

But you can define selling start date in "country & price" tab.

@jadeim +1 .... that would have been an elegant approach to delaying the availability of your app. i.e setting a future selling start date. I also have never used the suspend option, so now, I am better informed. Thanks for sharing @ahindam.
I imagine that the re-certification may be due to an assumption that your app suspension is due to some error or problems with the binary itself. Anyway, this is not very efficient behaviour .
