New Certificate Registration Process

Hi,

Did anyone notice the new registration process available in the new SDK (1.0.0b3)?

Previously we need to send the certificate-request.xml and samsung would give certificate-registration.xml.

Now we need to upload the CSR and device profile and they will give us 2 xml files. One is author.crt and the other is device-profile.xml.

Never got any intimation from samsung that the registration process has changed.

Does it means that I need to register again?

@Stefanie, @Serena Please reply as soon as possible...

Thanks.

    Now i've followed the help contents, and uploaded the author.csr to samsung and it said that they will mail me author.crt and device-profile.xml.

    Then what about my previous registration certificate? Is it of no use now?

    I think it is probably not necessary to get a new certificate. In the IDE there is an option to use a legacy certificate, which just takes your old certificate-registration.xml file. I believe both author and device profile information is contained in this single file. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I've still been able to test/install my app using my original certificate.

    Tried using the legacy certificate option.

    When I try to import the certificate, it says cannot register certificate due to unknown reasons.

    I've imported the android keystore before that.

    Is there anything I'm missing?

    Thanks.

    @leenguyenlovie
    Importing the legacy certificate after re-installing the Tizen SDK solved my problem. It was successfully imported.
