Which features are not supported on the Samsung Gear S device?

Today's message mentioned:
"Gear apps which include features not supported on the Samsung Gear S device. . . "

So that begs the question: what features are not supported on the Samsung Gear S device? Presumably some that did work on the Gear 2.

At first glance, it would seem the Gear S has a superset of features of Gear 2, and that no one will actually qualify for that waiver.

Am I wrong?

    I think I found some:
    Camera
    IR

    Any others?

It implies kind of unfairness. Apps that uses camera and IR are on the winning position comparing to others. I don't know if it is worth talking while in the end it will be chosen by random and nobody can verify it....

If the judges will have an actual Gear S device before October 10th, they have a big advantage over those of us who definitely won't have one before September 30th. In fact, it appears we cannot even emulate the 360x480 screen yet.

I think they should clarify whether they will actually run and evaluate the apps on Gear S. So far I think not. It's one thing to pass certification for 360x480 screen and another to rework or reimagine your app to take optimal advantage of all the features or new use paradigms. In some cases, a different kind of app may make sense.

I do see many exciting opportunities with the Gear S, despite the turmoil it is causing in this particular contest, and the lack of platform consistency that I commented on.
